For 20 Years now,
the Grand Prairie Rotary Club has been improving the dental health of many needy children within the Grand PrairieIndependentSchool District with a preventive and educational program. Grand Prairie Rotarians are working to improve the dental health among the students through dental screenings, oral home care instructions, and the placement of pit and fissure sealants. Specific schools are being targeted based on the percentage of students on free or reduced lunches.

Grand Prairie and Beyond
In 2013 we went International
As the name indicates, Rotary is an international organization. In 2013 we partnered with the Rotary Club of Granada (Nicaragua) and took our dental program to the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere for a week. There we embraced unimaginable poverty and worked with local Rotarians to provide much needed dental care to school aged children in Granada. Since then we have made four trips and provided well over $200,000 worth of free dental care to the world’s poorest. But we cannot do this alone.
